WORKSHOP FORMAT
Strings and Things’ is your perfect opportunity to explore the wonderful world of string playing. How do they know where to put their fingers? How do they hold it under their chin? What has horse hair got to do with music?
All will be revealed on this ‘no experience necessary’, all genres, all abilities workshop day at XYZ.
If you have an instrument, bring it along, but there will be instruments available to borrow: Violin, Cello and Double Bass!
Everyone will have the opportunity to do some instrument hopping and swapping to help you choose a favourite, and by the end of the day we’ll have a mini-gig featuring classics, fan favourites and crowd pleasers to showcase your new skills for all of your family and friends.
Led by our strings tutor Jess Price, a string player of 20 years, there’ll be something new and interesting for everyone.
