Safeguarding Statement
Our goal is to enable all students to thrive in an inspiring and motivating environment while ensuring the opportunities are accessible to everyone. The emotional and physical well-being of our students is paramount. We work alongside our partnered schools in Buckinghamshire to achieve this.
This statement summarises the key points about XYZ and its staff to fully evidence that safeguarding is in place and practised.
1. All XYZ staff have undergone thorough checks and training to ensure compliance to safeguarding guidelines such as:
– An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is completed and renewed as and when appropriate.
– Prohibition checks have been completed and renewed when appropriate.
– Relevant references have been checked and verified.
– Safeguarding training is carried out in regular intervals.
2. XYZ expects that all teachers visiting schools will be given a Child Protection Policy and accompanying Safeguarding Practice guidelines and they have been instructed to confirm that they have read and understood as required. This should include clear guidance on each organisations reporting process and clearly identify the DSL and other key staff.
3. All XYZ policies within its Child Protection programme are used by members of staff to ensure effective reporting and recording information as and when it occurs and that the relevant DSL is involved at the earliest time possible.
4. Any disclosure or concern involving a student will be treated with seriousness and urgency. Action will be taken with the approval of the Designated Safeguarding Leads.
